    Installing SD card into a camera

    The guide below demonstrates a step-by-step for installing a MicroSD card into a VIP VISION CCTV Camera.

     

    Install SD Card Into a Turret Camera

    On your VIP VISION CCTV camera, locate the ‘RESET’ cover.

    Unscrew the cover revealing the RESET button as well as where you will be putting the SD card.

    Insert the SD card into the designated slot, it can only go in one way which is the front facing the same direction as the camera.
     

    Once the SD card is in the slot push it down until you hear a faint clicking noise and the card is no longer sticking out.
     

    The SD card is now officially installed, screw the ‘RESET’ cover back on and you will be done.

     
     

    Install SD Card into a Bullet Camera

    1. On your VIP VISION CCTV camera, locate the large cover on the underside of the camera. 

    2. Unscrew the cover revealing the inside of the camera as well as the designated spot for the SD Card.

    3. Insert the SD Card into the designated spot, it can only go in one way.

    4. Push the SD Card in until you hear a faint click and the card is only just sticking out.

    5. The SD card has now been officially installed, you can now put the cover back on closing the camera.

     
     

    Install SD Card into a Dome Camera

    1. On your VIP VISION CCTV Camera remove each of the screws and remove the top dome.

    2. Once open, locate the designated spot for the SD Card underneath the camera.

    3. Slide the SD Card holder towards where the screw was to open it.

    4. Place the SD Card inside the designated spot, it will only fit one way, and close it, you then must push it the opposite direction so it is locked.

    5. The SD Card is now officially installed, put the dome back onto the camera and screw it in, you are done.

     
     

    Checking SD Card (Gray Interface)

    1. To check the SD Card, use the web interface and sign in. 

    2. After signing in, go into the camera's settings.

    3. Once in settings, on the left hand side select Storage and then Destination.

    4. With the SD Card installed it will show up in the provided space confirming it is working properly.

    5. If the SD Card is not showing up, go through the installation steps again ensuring it is installed correctly. If it does not show up still after that then test the SD Card in a computer.

     
     

    Checking SD Card (Blue Interface)

    1. To check the SD Card, use the web interface and sign in.

    2. After signing in, click the cog icon in the top right and click on 'Storage' in the dropdown.

    3.  Once that  is done and you are in Storage, wait for the SD Card to show up.

    4. With the SD Card installed it will show up in the provided space confirming that it is working properly.

    5. If the SD Card is not showing up go through the installation guide again ensuring it is installed correctly. If it is still not working test the SD Card on a computer.
