You can view and download recorded footage directly from a hard drive using the Disk Manager Software on a Windows computer.

It is recommended that an IT professional follows this procedure.
- Connect your hard drive to your computer using a hard drive docking station.
Once your hard drive is connected to the computer, you will be asked to format your drive.
Please Note: If you want to keep the footage on the hard drive, DO NOT format the drive, as this will delete all footage.
2. Download and open Disk Manager.
Using Disk Manager
View Recordings
- Select whether you are viewing footage from a local disk or an external disk. If you are using a hard drive docking station, select External Disk.

2. Select the disk you want to view footage from then click Search.

This will display times for all footage recorded on the hard drive. You can search for specific recordings using the filters in the bottom left corner.
Using the search filters, you can search for a specific channel, recording type (All, motion detection, normal/general), and time range.

3. Use the search filters if needed to find the footage you want to view.
4. For each recording you want to view, select a camera panel, then double-click the recording

This will play the video of the recordings that you selected with a timeline at the bottom. Each line in the timeline represents a camera channel.
Navigate through the recordings by hovering over the coloured parts of the timeline and clicking on a time.
You can also use the controls above the timeline to pause the video, change the speed, and/or change the audio volume.

Download Recordings
Download Full Recordings
- Follow steps 1-3 in View Recordings to find the recordings you want to download.
- Tick the recordings that you want to download and click Download. You will then be asked to select a folder to download the footage to. After selecting a folder, a window will display on the screen with the folder path you selected and the load percentage of the download.

Download Clips From Recordings
- Follow steps 1-4 in View Recordings to find and play the recordings you want to download from.
- Above the timeline, click the scissors icon. An orange box will appear in the timeline.
- Drag the edges of the orange box to cover the time range that you want to clip.

4. Click the scissors icon again. You will have the option to clip Single Channel or Full Channel.
Single Channel will clip the channel that you have selected (outlines in blue).
Full Channel will clip all channels in the timeline.
5. You will then be prompted to select a folder to download the clip to. After selecting a folder, a window will display on the screen with the folder path you selected and the load percentage of the download.
